Ergometrics, the parent company of NTN (National Testing Network), is pleased to announce their third testing facility in the state of Florida. NTN has been working closely with PTEC (Pinellas Technical Education Centers) for over 4 years and the partnership continues to flourish. Currently, NTN operates joint ventures with PTEC to offer state of the art video-based simulation tests to thousands of firefighters annually. The video tests are produced and validated nationally by Ergometrics and participating fire departments. Additionally, at each of the testing facilities, PTEC runs ongoing CPAT’s for firefighter physical ability testing which adheres to the IAFF standards.
In a recent newsletter issued by PTEC, Training Chief – Todd Gaddy stated that “Seminole County Fire Rescue is now the third NTN test site in the state. Seminole County will provide NTN testing for central and southeast Florida which will strengthen our ability to provide opportunities for candidates to apply to multiple agencies”.
In addition to the newest Seminole County testing facility, NTN also has testing sites located in St. Petersburg, Florida, with PTEC and Ocala, Florida, with CTAE (Community Technical and Adult Education). Both locations offer entry level firefighter video testing (FireTEAM) by Ergometrics and CPAT testing.
Through an extensive partnership with NTN and PTEC, the network currently services 21 Fire Departments within the state of Florida with another six anticipated to join in the first quarter of 2012.
